Heart Health & Cardiology
The overall health of your heart is something that we strongly recommend you stay on top of. Fortunately, there are plenty of simple and routine tests that can be carried out to check for early signs of heart disease.
Proactivity is the best way of beating heart disease. Spotting risks early allows medical practitioners to put a treatment plan in place quickly, resulting in the best chance of recovery. We highly recommend regular heart tests if you have a family history of heart disease, or if you’re over the age of 40.
VisitHealth has an in-house, award-winning cardiologist, specialising in heart health and testing. With next-day home visits available, book your cardiology tests today!
What is Cardiology?

Testing is generally performed through different types of Electrocardiograms (ECG) and medical consultation.

What is an ECG?
ECG's are painless and easily carried out, especially as with VisitHealth you can have one done in the comfort of your own home.
An ECG looks at your heart’s rate, rhythm, and electrical activity to detect problems with your heart. Sensors attached to the skin detect the electrical signals produced by your heart each time it beats. These signals can be used to identify a number of heart problems or defects.

What is a Holter ECG?
7 days Holter ECG monitoring is a continuous test to record your heart’s rate and rhythm for 7 days. You wear the Holter monitor for a week as you go about your normal daily routine. This device has electrodes and electrical leads exactly like a regular ECG, but it has fewer leads. It can pick up not only your heart’s rate and rhythm, but also when you feel chest pains or exhibit symptoms of an irregular heartbeat, or arrhythmia.
This service is also available across shorter time frames.
