Full bio
Sofia Likhacheva is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting adults, adolescents, and children across NHS, charitable, and private practice settings. She provides compassionate, evidence-based psychological therapy tailored to each individual's needs, helping clients overcome emotional difficulties and improve their overall wellbeing.
Sofia has a specialist interest in working with trauma and traumatic memories using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Unlike traditional talking therapies, EMDR works by supporting the brain's natural ability to process and heal distressing experiences through bilateral stimulation, helping traumatic memories become less emotionally overwhelming. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, recent and long-standing trauma, stress and burnout, phobias, psychosomatic symptoms, and chronic pain.
Sofia also has experience adapting EMDR for individuals with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring therapy is tailored to their unique needs and experiences. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can build resilience, process difficult experiences, and achieve lasting positive change.
